AKC Rally® Fans to Compete in First-Ever National Competition Fans of the fun team sport of AKC Rally® get ready! For the first time since AKC Rally launched in 2005, competitors will come together at a national event that showcases some of the top scoring dogs in the sport. AKC Rally is a sport based on obedience and is a natural next step for dogs that have received the AKC Canine Good Citizen® award. Owners and dogs make their way through a course comprised of stations. Each station gives an obedience exercise that you and your dog attempt before heading to the next station. These can range from a simple "Sit" for Novice level to a more complicated "Moving Stand" for the most advanced level of Excellent. Handlers may talk, encourage and praise their dogs throughout the rally course. A family discovered the puppy and rescued her until their landlord discovered the new addition. Vera had to go. The family found her a home with a teacher who had a soft heart for homeless dogs. But ultimately, the teacher had too many dogs to care for and placed Vera for adoption with rescue group Pet Overpopulation Prevention in Richland, WA.
